One of my favorites since childhood are the serene vet stories of James Herriot. And although I actually prefer reading to watching movies as I can not decide what I like better me in this case: the books or the movie.
England, in the late 30s: the young James is happy with the offer to be able to work in Yorkshire in the practice of a country veterinarian.
