And so I herbs, with bottles of it and knypies ... |
I read that a recent poll of readers of a particular magazine, wanted to determine which herbs are most popular. The answer was "parsley" as I thought, but, indeed, basilliekruid (basil). It was quite interesting, because the most popular cooking leaf parsley good and bad cooks and, now, is the more Mediterranean, basilliekruid king of herbs. Interestingly, the basilliekruid's james herbert origins actually in southern India - and not as Spanish or Greek as people sometimes think.
Now I know that basilliekruid indispensable to long sticks to skewer if one espetadas with thick blocks beef (preferably "rump"), much olive oil and garlic, and that such an old basilliegeurtjie not too bad off in tomato, james herbert rocket and mozzarellaslaai. However, it often bitter because people unwittingly basillieblare cut in place to tear it. A good, fresh basilliekruidblaar nice fat and always a little slow, but not wilted and that typical nutty flavor prevails. No tomato dish without a leaf or two should be. Of course it's also one of the only herbal leaves used as a name for men. We also had an uncle Basil in our family - a roundish man without hair, with a pleasant personality, such as the herbs which he named.
However, (and, yes, I started my sentence with a conjunction, because james herbert I want to) my favorite leaf of culinary antics rosemary. Rosemary smell like a kitchen james herbert soap should smell fresh, almost Vicks-erig, and grow a bunch for me always looks a bit like lavender. I can not have a fried aartappelwiggie without coarse salt, pepper, garlic, olive oil and rosemary proposal and beef without rosemary, is like a man without "mansparfuum" (as my son always called), bland and boring! This old leaf, as it abundantly used, a starter home, but it's uninteresting. (I heard paired rhyme, here?) One of my favorite bloggers are, of course, Rosemary, a very nice, almost fairytale name for a girl. I have just for me a bought roosmarynbossie and my husband dig the hole for me this weekend. The shrub like dry feet and I tried unsuccessfully james herbert to keep alive in KZN. It will flourish here.
I must at least also not thyme as a stiefkruiekind treat, because - and I have written about this - if I thyme smell, I taste lamb and eat I just an old mint leaf along the entire proesensasie experience. It's almost like Peter Pan who could imagine how nice eat and then knuppeldik the table could rise. I like the casual vulgaris james herbert - thyme and so many of the rooitakkie variant. I once read that thyme was part of the ingredients that the ancient Egyptians embalmed their dead. It is delicious in salad dressing and I know for a tuindwergievriendin told me, most green herbs are great for indigestion and some appetite. No wonder I just want to eat when I am walking through a nursery!
And what shall I say of oregano? My daughter went and accidentally packed james herbert my oregano with her herbs. Every time I go shopping, I forget to buy and every time, if I make lasagna want, I remember that I did not have oregano (or oregano). A person can simply not a pasta and mince dish without these small leaves. A good alternative is marjoram (another girl's name), because oregano is related to marjoram. I always called herbal charms, but it's actually exactly what it earlier years for diseases etc. to keep people and animals away .... and, Valentynsverliefdes ... a liefdeskruid. So, pour generously over simply every kositem and in his wine when he was not looking, Ladies.
I'm so hungry that I just for me last night's herderspasteireste with the sauce, warm and eat. Will I ever fit into that dream clothes? Fortunately, this is exactly what it is: DREAM clothes. One can not have everything in life while still tasty food! That will teach me!
You write so beautifully descriptive my mouth water. I can not imagine cooking without herbs (preferably fresh) and bake. A Herb indispensable in my house is that you have not mentioned, Fennel. Fish, salmon and trout, is just not the same without Fennel, james herbert and I also love it just as with a lump of butter baby potatoes.
Yes, I did of Fennel forget. It so &
