Fortunately he dropped the idea, and shortly after he started another long cartoons for cinemas. It was clear last year and has since been seen and admired all over the world. The sea grows so large that it becomes a tidal wave engulfing the entire city and the surrounding landscape. Sosukes mother walt disney films is gone, and now takes the two friends set off in an enchanted model boat - to find her mother and get to safety.
Ponyo changes constantly between the fun, the beautiful and the very dramatic and has many mysterious sequences with typical Miyazaki ideas, images and music. The story of Ponyo and Sosuke is both touching and exciting - it reminiscent of My Neighbor Totoro, but it is also very dramatic and frightening. At the same time, it demonstrates that old-fashioned, hand-drawn animation still something special. And so is the Danish version walt disney films moreover, is very excellent and it means a lot, because it is the few of us who can Japanese.
